Star Fall
Rowland Egerton, antiques expert and darling of daytime TV, is found stabbed to death at home, amid his collection of treasures, from which a Fabergé box and an Impressionist painting are missing. Was it a burglary gone wrong, or an act of passion? Suspicion falls on his longtime friend and business partner, John Lavender; but it becomes clear that behind the scenes, Egerton was not as charming or as universally loved as his adoring fans think, and there are plenty of people with a motive to kill him. As Slider and his team investigate, they are propelled towards a solution that is as shocking as it is sad.
Solid plots, strong characters, authentic cop shoptalk, and plenty of twists… pure genius. Highly recommended.
